1979 Toyota Corolla KE30 – 4AGE Turbo 300hp
$34,000 ono
WOF , REGO , CERTIFIED
Very reluctant sale of my KE30. Will be sad to see it sell and I’m sure ill regret selling in future years. Only increases in value each year. I always wanted one of these and have loved owning it the past 6 or so years. Life moves on and id prefer it went to someone else who will get enjoyment and more use out of it than I currently am able. Is too much of a beast to just sit in the garage and be taken out once a fortnight. Would be great to go to someone who will get it out more often to events and track days etc etc
So much fun to drive and always brings a smile to the face, turns lots of heads
I have had extensive work done to this car with 10’s of thousands spent. Everything has been completed professionally. Stacks of receipts and invoices for the work completed by me and some from previous owner. Everything done was with the intention of keeping it
In the years iv owned it:
Iv had the engine rebuilt and extensive fabrication work done by VinnyFab in Christchurch . Engine rebuild was completed by CarAid in Christchurch. They both worked together to get the optimum result for the engine setup. I am by no means a mechanic, Iv just always wanted this setup in an old rolla.
So all specs and components of the engine build I just advised them to do what is best for this setup, and to source and use what’s needed. Type of block, pistons, injectors etc etc. no expense spared. Has a 5speed T50 gearbox.
I know people sell and advertise cars like this and have a massive “shopping list” of parts and brand names that the car/engine has in it, this is not this. Iv gone for practicality and trusted the advice of professionals that know these cars and engines. It has all the perfect and correct parts to make it run sweet and reliable. And it is certed . Jump in and drive.
All fabrication work done by VinnyFab is custom to the car. Radiator, intercooler, manifolds, full exhaust etc etc
Was tuned lower at 10psi boost, this build could handle more if desired, dyno’d at just under 300hp
Its had a panel and paint about 5 years ago, fully stripped back, minimal bog and no rust. Is still looking great, really pops in the sun. Has a mazda sol red clearcoat over a toyota metallic red base
Most of its WOF’s in the time iv owned it have been VTNZ WOF’s , it did fail its last WOF (now passed obviously) with two small rust spots on the old original jack points under the sills, just from underseal being rubbed off over the years on the supports, this was repaired. Cut, platted and signed off
Car is aways garaged. tyres are all still pretty new
There are a few more things that I’ve wanted to get done but never got around too. Suspension and brake upgrade would definitely be the next things. Maybe a bigger LSD diff. So there is still a couple of things the new owner could do to really make it theirs and better the car even more
It is an old car with a lot of custom components and still a couple of older components. So it has its wee niggles and quirks as all old cars have and will get from time to time. I’m more than happy to go over the whole car with any genuine potential buyer and will do my best to answer any mechanical questions. Sorry but I wont respond to comments posted, and only to genuine direct messages sent. Phone call is best if your actually interested
I can help with finance if wanted. This would be through a finance broker, so general lending conditions and pre approval applies
Advertised through my business webpage and FB page QCars as advertising purposes only. Due to the style of this car it is an AIWI private sale, and is privatly owned. NOT a dealer-certified sale
